This is genuinely the best journaling game I've ever played! Absolutely riveting, it kept me captivated through the whole game and having crunchy foods as a mechanic got me completely and utterly immersed. I couldn't ask for more!
Extremely interesting and innovative combination of Wretched&Alone with Breathless! One note, though - in a deck of playing cards, J generally stands for Jack, not Joker (of which there are two). Drawing “all four Jokers” was a very confusing phrase the first time I saw it.
Oh, much appreciated, thank you! I think I know stuff in English and then get tripped up by the silliest things. Lemme go fix that real quick.
I should say, it was seeing the Untitled Moth Game for the first time that made the lightbulb go off in my head and go, "Wait, you can do that?" re: combining things, so thank you as well for the kind comment, and also in a roundabout way for the inspiration!
I’m honored to have been an indirect inspiration! Especially for a game that delves deliciously into some of my favorite themes and tropes.
After reading the new version, I have some more questions about how the rules work. Is there a better way to send those over to you than through Itch comments?

What age range would you recommend for the players?

Thank you so much for giving SPITE a try! So glad you enjoyed it - and also that you survived your mirror self long enough to leave a comment!

Oh yes, I can send you my email or discord if you like? I do believe I follow you on tumblr, so I can drop those in a DM, unless you prefer elsewhere.
That sounds great, thank you!
